Steve Harrison
President
Steve is a juggler of clients, staff, and the firm’s creative work - all in a continually evolving business environment. He began with Falk Harrison as an art director in 1987, was named senior vice president in 1998 and president of the firm in 2004. He manages the operations of the firm and guides the creative direction of all client projects. He has earned a highly respected reputation in graphic design, with an accomplished career in the St. Louis design community. His client work has earned numerous local, regional and national professional honors, including AR100’s, International ARC Awards, the Potlatch Annual Report Show, Mead 60, International Pro-Comm Award, AIGA/St. Louis Annual Design Competition, International Gold Mercury Award, the Best of Show for Exhibit Design, and various TAMs and ADDYs. Jon Falk
Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Since May 1993, Jon has collaborated with the diverse team of folks at Falk Harrison to develop award-winning communication solutions. Initially, he tackled a business development role that included account planning and management. Over the years, Jon’s experience grew, and his responsibilities did as well. Today, Jon is involved with the development of communication plans and strategies, messaging platforms and overall project execution. Jon leverages almost 20 years of practical experience along with his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Bradley University. He delivers for clients that span diverse industries and revenue levels, offering thoughtful and strategic advice to cultivate long-term relationships with the agency’s branding, design and social media clients. Matt Falk
Executive Vice President, Creative Director
Matt joined Falk Harrison full-time at the start of 1993 as an associate designer. An integral part of ushering computer-aided design in to the firm, he has gone on to solve problems for clients in fields as diverse as biomedical, chemical, energy (oil and gas), education, financial, healthcare, manufacturing, public sector, recruiting, retail, telecommunications, transportation and nonprofit agencies. Matt’s work has been recognized regionally and nationally, he has lectured on design and the communications industry, and has served on judging panels and advisory roles regionally. Prior to joining Falk Harrison, Matt studied art, psychology and anthropology at Macalester College in St Paul, MN, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts degree, and served as a freelance designer and an apprentice to noted sculptor Stanton Sears. Mary Steinau
Vice President, Business Development
Mary joined Falk Harrison in 1991, but, please, don’t call her an old-timer. Mary started college at Vanderbilt University and completed her bachelor of science degree in psychology at Christopher Newport University while she was living in the beautiful tidewater region of Virginia. She has continued her education in marketing and marketing communication at the graduate level at Webster University. She is passionate about the not-for-profit organizations that she serves: Special Education Foundation and Springboard. She is on the executive boards of both organizations and heads their marketing committees. Mary has been increasingly drawn to spiritual pursuits over the past several years, particularly how to lead a better life and make the world a better place. Read more about Mary »
Chris Reimer
Vice President, Social Media
Chris is an award-winning social media strategist, and brings a unique background to Falk Harrison. He graduated from Marquette University in 1993 with a B.S. in Accounting, became a CPA in 1995, and then served as Chief Financial Officer of several organizations around St. Louis. He was able to take the lessons learned by marketing his t-shirt company Rizzo Tees exclusively via social media and make the improbably leap from CPA to social media professional. At Falk Harrison, Chris is responsible for client social media strategy, new business development, and content management for the agency’s website and social media properties. Steve Hartman
Creative Director
Steve began his creative career at Falk Harrison the day after graduating from Eastern Illinois University nearly 20 years ago. He rose through the ranks to Associate Creative Director before leaving to start his own design venture, Creativille. During a decade away from Falk Harrison, Steve distinguished himself among the nation’s most passionate designers as an active AIGA (The Professional Association for Design) local and national board member. He attended the first Harvard Business School: Business Perspective for Design Leaders executive training course. Steve missed us too much, so in 2010 he rejoined Falk Harrison as Creative Director, where he adds his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for creativity. Read more about Steve »
Ken Kuehnel
Creative Director
Ken Kuehnel is a creative director who specializes in developing positioning strategies to align and focus brand communications. A graduate of Washington University, Ken joined Falk Harrison Creative in 1992 with a BFA in graphic communications and a love for design challenges large and small. From his initial role as an assistant art director to his present position of creative director, Ken has stayed on the front lines of strategy and design to provide valuable problem-solving ideas and shape new opportunities for his clients – some of whom he has worked with for well over a decade. Ken’s work has won numerous local and national awards for Fortune 500 companies including Sprint, Charter, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Express Scripts, Insituform, Monsanto, Savvis, Tripos and Trump Entertainment Resorts.
